Maria Teresa e Vasco Vilalva Award

The revitalization and heritage preservation project of the Lousal Mining Museum was distinguished with an honorable mention as part of the Maria Teresa and Vasco Vilalva Award, granted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Água de Cal was responsible for the conservation and restoration of the models displayed throughout the museum's exhibition, having coordinated a multidisciplinary team that brought together about 20 professionals in various areas, such as polychrome wood, metals, stone materials, and graphic documents.

Ruins of St. Paul | Loures

Começámos, recentemente, um projeto centrado na Réplica das ruínas de São Paulo, que se encontram no Parque da Cidade de Loures. Estamos a preparar o relatório prévio, que sustentará a intervenção de conservação e restauro. Um património desafiante, mas que também é um bom exemplo das dinâmicas associadas a estes elementos. Uma réplica que fez sucesso na Expo 98, em Lisboa; foi montada no parque de Loures em 2004; e hoje é assumida (depois de apropriada) pela comunidade de Loures, como património da cidade.

We have recently begun an intervention on a set of several bundles and periodicals belonging to the Porto District Archive, consisting of documentation dated from the 19th and 20th centuries. The work will focus on various physical damages present on the supports, as well as their chemical stabilization, and will run until the end of November.

The year 2025 marks the continuation of the biological monitoring project for the museum spaces located in the Páteo de S. Miguel and the maintenance of the objects that make up the collection of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation's museum spaces. Since March, several interventions will been taking place as part of remedial conservation in the Palace of the Counts of Basto and the Carriage Collection.
